ESSEY PIPE BAND SUPPLIES
Mary is a real lover of the skirl o' the pipes (her favourite wee piece "Highland Cathedral" plays on the index to this website). Over the years she has established many loyal friendships with her suppliers and customers. Her suppliers are those who have proved to offer the highest quality and services. Her customers include some of the top pipe bands in Northern Ireland, Scotland (coals to Newcastle!) and beyond to the highlands of Singapore.
The following is just a wee sample of the goods Essey can suply to bands and individuals.
This piper plays for a couple of bands! One of Mary's favourite bands who come from the "ould sod" is Field Marshal Montgomery, who are certainly one of the best in the world. The band hail from Carryduff just a few miles from the Essey shop in the County Down part of Belfast. Mary has supplied many of the band on a number of occasions over the years. The wee image above is apparently a likeness of their president (according to their web master!), a friend of Mary's for many, many years.
As was noted, ESSEY's trade is international. This is Fuchun from Singapore, via Queens University, Belfast, who owns a set of Scottish bagpipes, supplied by Mary. Fuchun played with the Gilnahirk Pipe Band, County Down.
