BELFAST

The home of ESSEY

A new but famous site in Belfast is the Waterfront Hall

This rotunda lies directly between ESSEY premises on Albert Bridge Road, which is over the river Lagan, and the City Halls which lie in the the city centre. Belfast might not be spread over two continents but it is in two counties in Northern Ireland. The City Halls are just about in Antrim, go over the Lagan and you are into County Down, arguably the nicest of Ulster's 9 counties. Mary thinks so and lives in Bangor, County Down. Though her heart is in the Highlands of Scotland, where she dreams of riding horses through the Coolin Hills on Skye.

Buy your highland regalia, etc. from Mary and make her wee dream come true!

Belfast City Halls

During the summer months the grassy areas surrounding this impressive Victorian building fill with the city's business community out enjoying the sun over their lunch.

Finally, the reasons why all the pictures on this page are blurred is because the photographer went to this place first. Belfast's most famous hostelry, The Crown Liquor Saloon. Make sure you have a Guiness or a Blackbush with an Ulster Fry or Irish Stew and insist on the champ - mashed potatoes with scallions ... drool!
